Spanish architects Cadaval & Solà-Morales built this classical mountain house in Canejan, Catalonia, Spain. Standing on a high spot landscape, the house is surrounded by an absolutely breathtaking environment having visibility over two spectacular valleys. The house is claimed had been being designed by preserving the original structure and by doing a minimal yet contrasted intervention in order to generate new and contemporary that house respects the historic envelope. Although some of the spaces in the house are accommodated within old enclosures that have a remnant sense of the old construction, they are distributed according to new ways of living in a more contemporary reading of architecture.
