Home 14 by Dane Richardson

Created by Australian architect Dane Richardson, this architectural design of Residence 14 with its large open up prepare on its most important residing room that form the central core from the building is based in Eagle Bay, Western Australia.

The Property 14 space was divided into locations with clear functions. The north facing terrace with its built in “fire box” may be the focus of all outside entertaining. The open up “fire box” offers a wonderful location to sit and star gaze in the evening.

The preparing divides the building into 3 wings. Children’s bedrooms, guest place, bathroom and games/tv room towards the western part. The master bedroom and study to the eastern part and the main residing volume & court yard central to these wings.

Cantilevers and exposed structural elements feature and further add to the strong lines with the creating. Upper levels provide shelter for lower levels. The entry is screened with high stone walls and a planted court yard; this rustic relaxed threshold must be crossed prior to entering the sharper aesthetic of the building. Stone work is featured in other areas and within the main terrace. The owners shipped a set of old Indian temple doors for the project which were integrated into the stone walls from the entry court, this rustic touch ties in while using coarseness with the stone.
