Walking in a crowded busy street of Tokyo is simply breathtaking and I’m sure you will end up in suffocation if you can’t stand the crowd. It’s better for now if you’re in Japan and reading this architectural article to see the ingenious crib which makes the most out of a very narrow site. The project was designed by FujiwaraMuro Architects and aptly located in Showa-cho. It’s a tremendous challenge to build a construction in narrow slots.
The architecture team then comes up with the idea which ensures a feeling of space and continuity where they will bring it towards the home plan. A large, open living room will welcome the guests and stairs that will straightly connect to three levels. At our first sight it appears that the stairs occupy a lot of space but the inhabitants actually don’t matter with it.
Either way, we find this as a very clever project and one thoughtful design as well as inspiring idea which can be applied towards rural urban areas which are crowded and lack of spaces. Developers all over the world I think should think such mini houses like this as an example and to resolve the space needs for human.
